There are exciting times ahead for Archie (L6), Callum (L6) and Annabelle (L6), who have just begun exchange programmes at two South African schools with links to Loretto's Head, Mr Pete Richardson.

J. Philipp Herter (2024) recently wrote to the Society on behalf of his sister, Paula. Paula has been working with horses and volunteers on Rocky Glen Ranch in Zimbabwe for the past few years, and she also organises working holidays in the Zimbabwean Bush. Philipp recently visited his sister on the ranch and found himself fascinated by both the place and her work. He wishes to then share this project with the wider OL community, as a potential opportunity for those considering a gap year, summer adventure, or once-in-a-lifetime volunteering experience.

Applications are now being accepted for this year's Lamert Trust Fund, which exists to financially support Old Lorettonians who are either in, or about to embark on, tertiary education.

For our latest OL Spotlight, we're delighted to feature Professor Sandi Deans (1989). Sandi is a Director of GenQA, a global, not-for-profit External Quality Assessments (EQA) provider for the genomics service. She is also a Consultant Clinical Scientist at NHS Lothian, Edinburgh and Professor of Clinical Genomics at the University of Edinburgh’s Institute of Genetics and Cancer.
