For our latest OL Spotlight, we feature Professor Tim Inglis (1977), who is a Professor at The University of Western Australia (UWA) Medical School, a Consultant medical microbiologist with the Western Australian state pathology service (PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA) and Colonel at the Directorate of Army Health in Canberra. Tim is also a veteran runner, and recently completed the Sydney Marathon in its first year as a World Marathon Major.

Francesca B. McGhie (2019) continues to star for Scottish Rugby as the women’s side competes in the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup. She helped get their campaign off to a blistering start by scoring a hat-trick in their opener against Wales, with her first try coming after only 55 seconds.

We are delighted to share that this year's exam results saw Loretto pupils achive a 98% A Level pass rate, and 89% of GCSE results fall within the 9-4 boundary (A*-C).
Tuesday 19th August 2025
August 2025 saw nearly 90 Loretto pupils and staff members travel to Canada for what can only be described as an epic and jam-packed rugby and hockey tour!

We are delighted to share that Professor Malcolm (Calum) G. Semple OBE (1986) has been appointed as the Scottish Government's Chief Scientific Advisor, starting in August 2025 for an initial three-year term, on secondment from the University of Liverpool.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Loretto Golf Academy's U15 team won this year’s SWIFTS National Strokeplay Finals! This victory, combined with their two previous tournament wins, places them unbeaten at the top of this year's National Order of Merit.
