We are extremely grateful to John M. D. Simpson (1965) for passing on to the Society a box of Loretto memorabilia, including photographs taken by his late father John S. Simpson (1923) when he was a pupil from 1919–1923.

We are sure you will agree it is fascinating to see images of Loretto from more than 100 years ago and, while much has certainly changed during this time, there is strength and familiarity to be found in the fact that some views remain almost exactly the same.
