We are delighted to share that, on Wednesday 4th September 2024, two OLs were appointed by HM The King to the rank of one of his Majesty's Counsel in Scotland.

William 'Bill' Frain-Bell KC (1989) and Craig Murray KC (1994) were then welcomed to the Court of Session on Monday 23rd September 2024, at the Opening of the Legal Year.

We believe from our records that this is the first time two OLs have been appointed to the rank of King's Counsel in Scotland on the same day – although if anyone has information to the contrary, please let us know!
