Loretto Day 2025
Monday 05th May 2025

We hope you’ll know from previous communications that Loretto Day is returning to the school on Saturday 21st June, and we're delighted to now share the RSVP link for this event.

As a reminder, Loretto Day is a whole-School event to which the entire Loretto community is invited, including Junior & Senior school pupils, their families, staff and Old Lorettonians. A schedule for the day is included at the bottom of this article and, as you will see, it’s set to be a fantastic occasion.

We do hope you can join us on the day to celebrate all that is wonderful about Loretto. If you are planning to attend, we kindly ask that you use the following link to RSVP online before Friday 13th June:

Some key points to note:

1. A limited number of spaces are available for the Chapel service that is taking place in the morning. Should you wish to attend this service, please wait and look out for a separate booking link which will be sent nearer the time.

2. Most of the day’s action will center around the OLs vs 1st XI Cricket Match at Pinkie Cricket Field, where guests are encouraged to set up a base for the afternoon. We know that, in the past, guests were able to park their vehicles around this field. Sadly, for safety and security reasons, vehicles are no longer permitted on campus during Loretto Day. However, should you wish to bring larger items such as gazebos or pop-up chairs, we will facilitate a ‘drop off’ slot in the morning (pre-10am) so you can leave or set these up in advance. Once again, further details will be sent nearer the time.

3. For food and drink, you’re very welcome to bring your own picnics and refreshments – please just no barbeques. The following local vendors will also form a mini ‘street-food’ village in the Bursars Yard, with all accepting either cash or card payments.

The Big Blu
Artisan wood-fired pizzas (v, vg, gf)

Wee Green Events
Smash burgers, tacos and loaded hot dogs (v, vg)

Bev Trucks
Wine, prosecco, beer and Pimms
Over 21s only, please bring ID

Social Bite
Tea and coffee with an ambition to end homelessness
(Find out more at social-bite.co.uk)

4. The Summer Fair on the Chapel lawn will include a bouncy castle and bouncy slide (for under 12s), face-painting, bake sale, tombola and other stalls. We extend a huge thank you to the Junior School parents who are organising this fair, and encourage you to head over and show your support on the day. A token system will be in operation for all activities and stalls, will both cash and card payments accepted.

5. We kindly request that guests leave dogs at home for the day. If this is not possible, dogs should be kept on leads at all times and away from any grassed areas where pupils play sport and games. Please also pick up after your dog and dispose of any bags in a nearby bin.

We are thrilled to be resurrecting this event and we really do hope to see you on the day. Now all we need to do is cross our fingers and hope for glorious weather!
