Jim Clark (1952)
Jim Clark Motorsport Museum
Tuesday 03rd March 2026

On what would have been Jim Clark’s 90th birthday, we are pleased to let OLs know about the latest exhibition at the Jim Clark Motorsport Museum in Duns.

Jim Clark (1952) is widely considered to be one of the greatest ever racing drivers, and this year’s exhibition is about the many F1 greats who either inspired, or were inspired by, his career.

One of those featured is Ayrton Senna, the Brazilian driver who many OLs will know visited Loretto in 1991 to view Jim Clark’s memorial panel in the Chapel, and speak to pupils about the legendary OL’s influence upon his life.

The exhibition also features Clark’s 1965 Type 35 Formula 2 and 1965 Lotus Type 33 – marking the cars’ first public display since they were raced over 60 years ago.

The museum is open daily (except Wednesdays) until Monday 30th November 2026, and further details can be found at www.jcmm.org.uk.
