Following on from his success earlier this year in the Men’s Under-18 Six Nations Festival in Italy,
Christian Lindsay (U6) had a productive summer training with the Scotland Under-18 rugby squad in Dublin.
Christian also featured in a full, back-page profile piece in Musselburgh’s local newspaper, the
East Lothian Courier.
For those who missed this or aren’t local to Loretto,
the full article can be read online.
In the piece, Christian says, ‘It’s always been my goal to play for Scotland, which is why I loved being in the national camps so much. Throughout my rugby journey, it’s been about Scotland for me. Representing Scotland Under-18’s is great and I’d love to play for the men’s team one day.’
On how his time at Loretto has helped shape his rugby career so far, he says, ‘Mr Binikos and Mr Barnett are great coaches, and have been large contributors to my rugby development.’
We’ll keep you up to date with Christian’s ongoing success, and are excited to see what comes next for him.
We’re also delighted to report that another two current pupils –
Robbie Smith (U6) and
Struan Talac (U6) – were selected to join Christian at the training camp in Dublin. A sure sign that Loretto’s rugby programme - under the expert guidance of
Andrew Binikos (Hon.) and his team – is still going strong!
