At the start of May, a group of Loretto’s finest golfers set off on a week long trip to the USA.

Accompanied by Loretto’s coaching team, pupils toured prestigious American universities, including Rutgers, Yale and and Williams College, where their respective golf coaches gave them a flavour of student-athlete life.

They also enjoyed practice rounds at Fox Hopyard Golf Club and Taconic Golf Club, in preparation for the Independent International Invitational across the 9th and 10th May.

Finishing fifth overall, the Loretto team displayed great determination, teamwork and skill throughout the tournament against a strong international field. A standout highlight of the weekend was Grete (L6), who secured an impressive third place finish in the girls’ competition - a fantastic achievement.

The trip was a brilliant experience for all involved and we extend a huge well done to all of the golfers!
