In an unannounced visit in March, the Care Inspectorate issued a glowing report for Loretto Pre-School, concluding it provided children with rich opportunities for learning and development, both indoors and out.
The report mentions that Loretto's premises "provided a high quality environment which was warm, welcoming, and suitable for their needs", and that play spaces "enabled children to lead their own learning". Literacy and numeracy were also highlighted, noting that children "were very engaged in mark making and writing numbers", with children engaging in storytelling and environmental print recognition. Further, the report emphasised the warm, nurturing, and responsive care that pupils receive from staff, in addition to the safety and welfare of children being embedded in staff practice.
We were delighted to see so many positive aspects of our Pre-School highlighted - testament to the exceptional support pupils receive from dedicated staff members whilst in our care.
